Avocado Toast


  • Avocado
  • Spinach or other greens
  • Cilantro
  • Red Onion
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Cumin Powder
  • Red Chili Powder
  • Cinnamon
  • Other optional seasonings: Everything Bagel Seasoning, crushed red pepper flakes, oregano
  • Bread


  1. Toast a slice of bread
  2. Slice 1/8 medium red onion and set aside
  3. Slice 1/2 medium tomato and set aside
  4. Cut avocado in half, remove flesh and mash with a fork
  5. Season avocado with 1/4 tsp black pepper, 1/8 tsp salt, 1/8 tsp cinnamon, 1/8 tsp red chili powder (or to taste), and 1/4 tsp cumin powder
  6. Chop half cup of greens and add to avocado and mix together. Add 1 Tbsp chopped cilantro and mix.
  7. Spread avocado mix on toasted slice of bread
  8. Top with sliced onion and tomato
  9. Sprinkle everything bagel seasoning, oregano, crushed red pepper, or simply salt and pepper, on top
  10. Garnish with more cilantro
